Position Title: IT Specialist – Hardware Support (part time) (m/f/d)

Office: Munich (Germany)

Your mission

The IT Specialist (Hardware) will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer hardware and related infrastructure for our team. This includes desktops, laptops, printers, networking devices, and other peripherals.
 

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for procurement of computers and equipment by liaising with local suppliers.
  • Manage fixed assets using the existing Excel tracking system.
  • Maintain office infrastructure, including network, VoIP, and printers.
  • Conduct initial diagnosis of hardware faults and coordinate with local suppliers for complex repairs.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware issues, both onsite and remotely.
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs or coordinate vendor support as needed.
  • Assist with hardware inventory management and documentation.
  • Set up IT equipment (laptops, docking stations, monitors, etc.) for new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT security policies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on infrastructure and broader support requirements.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in IT hardware support (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware, printers, and networking basics
  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Fluent in English; Chinese or any other languages are a plus
 Nice to Have:
  • Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk)
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and IT asset management systems
  • Previous experience in an international or fast-paced environment
