Field Service Engineer – PV Systems (Residential / C&I) , Heat Pumps & Balkonkraftwerke

Your mission

We are a fast-growing company in the renewable energy sector and are currently looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) to support our customers across the DACH region. This role involves the commissioning, maintenance, and technical support of photovoltaic (PV) systems (Residential and C&I), heat pumps, and balcony solar systems Balkonkraftwerke).

Your main responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation support, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of:
  • PV inverter systems (residential and commercial)
  • Heat pump systems for heating and hot water
  • Balkonkraftwerke (plug-in solar modules for balconies or small-scale residential use)
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site or remotely
• Provide training and technical guidance to installers, partners, and end customers
• Support customers with grid connection, system monitoring, and configuration
• Document service activities and maintain records in internal systems
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, industry norms, and local grid regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve service processes and customer experience

Your Profile

• Degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, HVAC, or a related technical field
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in field service, PV installation, or heat pump systems
• Good knowledge of inverters (e.g., GoodWe, SMA, Fronius, Huawei, etc.)
• Experience with heat pump technologies and/or plug-in balcony solar systems is a strong plus
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality
• Self-motivated and organized, with a customer-first attitude
• Willingness to travel frequently within the DACH region
• Valid driver’s license (Class B)
