GoodWe, the world's leading manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters and energy storage solutions, has appointed Thomas Haering as its new President of EMEA Region. With this appointment, the company strengthens its position and commitment to the region that encompasses Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Thomas Haering will add responsibilities for sales and operation management in the region, reporting directly to Rong Shen, Vice President of GoodWe International Business, who highlights his extensive experience and points out that "we will give Thomas full support in his new position. Thanks to his great leadership and contribution to the EMEA team, we will grow together faster, always with the goal of driving the future of smart energy globally”.

To date, Thomas Haering has served as Managing Director of GoodWe Europe GmbH that is located in Munich, Germany. Now, with his appointment, the company is demonstrating its commitment to the EMEA region, which is experiencing strong growth, with notable milestones such as the inauguration of the company's new offices in Madrid. According to Daniel Huang, founder and CEO of GoodWe,“As the global solar market is growing exponentially, it is undeniable fact that the EMEA region is leading the way in solar power potential, with a spike in solar power demand. Thomas Haering's appointment aligns with the company's development strategy, which aims to adapt business growth and improve GoodWe's efficiency in a constantly evolving market. “I am very honoured to be appointed president of GoodWe EMEA where, over the past five years, I have built a great multilangual local EMEA team," says Haering: “I would like to thank Rong Shen and Daniel Huang for all the support I have received over the years, and I am sure that I can continue to count on them to successfully face this new phase within the company”.
Thomas Haering, more than 25 years of experience in the industry
With a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Munich, Thomas Haering has more than 25 years of international experience in general management, sales, marketing and business development for fast-growing and highly dynamic technical markets such as photovoltaic inverters, solar panels, semiconductors and storage technologies.
With more than 4,000 employees, GoodWe consists of close to 100 people in the EMEA region that will now be managed by Thomas Haering, leading a team that develops products and solutions for residential, commercial and industrial segments as well as large-scale plants.
