GoodWe Appoints Jie Zhang as Managing Director of GoodWe Europe GmbH
Munich, Germany – 4 February 2025
GoodWe Technologies Co., Ltd., a global leader in solar energy solutions, is delighted to announce the appointment of Jie Zhang as the new Managing Director of GoodWe Europe GmbH. Mr. Zhang is taking on this position effective immediately, following Thomas Häring, who has successfully established GoodWe as one of the leading brands for PV inverters and energy storage solutions in Europe. Based in the GoodWe Europe headquarter in Munich, Germany, Mr. Zhang is dedicated to strengthening operations and drive sustainable growth of the company.
Jie Zhang brings more than two decades of leadership experience across telecom, IT, and renewable energy sectors. Having held senior executive roles at Huawei Technologies and Telenor Group, he later founded a software startup before establishing Norwegian operation for Aiko Energy. His diverse background spans corporate and entrepreneurial expertise in business development, operational efficiency, and change management across tech industries. Zhang holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Fudan University and EMBA from INSEAD.
The European market is a key region in the global energy transition and with this change, GoodWe is committing to drive innovation and growth. Mr. Zhang is focused on expanding the company’s market presence with award-winning solar inverters, battery storage systems, and energy management solutions. He and his team will further enhance support and services to customers and partners across Europe, while optimizing efficiency and quality across GoodWe’s European organization.
